Unscheduled inspections will begin at Kazakh thermal power plants

Posted on 26/03/2025

The Mazhilis adopted the law “On Thermal Power Engineering” and accompanying amendments in the second reading.

The document consolidates the competencies of the government, state and local executive bodies in the field of heat energy, the rights and obligations of heat supply entities and consumers of heat energy.

The amendments introduce remote monitoring, scheduled and unscheduled inspections, and investigations. Clarify the rights and obligations of officials of bodies and the subject (object) of control.

In addition, heat supply entities are assigned the obligation to promptly inform the owners of the property of the heat-producing and heat-transporting entity and other interested parties about the need for its repair, reconstruction, modernization or replacement.
