Frederiksen recently participated in the election campaign of her fellow party member, candidate for the European Parliament Christel Schaldemuse.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was attacked by a man in the center of Copenhagen. This was stated on Friday, June 7, in a statement by the office of the head of the Danish government, TV2 reports.

Mette Frederiksen is said to have been hit by an unknown man while she was on Kultorvet Square in Copenhagen.

Frederiksen is “shocked by the incident,” the statement said.

The office declined to comment further. Frederiksen herself did not make any statements on this matter.

It is known that the police detained the attacker.

Mette Frederiksen is 46 years old. She has been the Prime Minister of Denmark since 2019.

Previously, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, who was assassinated in mid-May, on Wednesday, June 5, recorded the first address since then, in which he announced his intentions to return to work in a few weeks.
