Military aid to Ukraine includes new products under development, the Finnish Defense Forces announced.
The latest innovations of the Finnish defense industry were exported to Ukraine, and not only weapons from the army warehouses. This was said by the head of the Department of Military Economy of the Defense Forces of Finland, Lieutenant General Mikko Heiskanen, the TV and radio company Yle reported the day before.
“The feedback on the use of Finnish products was positive,” the military official noted, adding that the experience gained in Ukraine will be useful for the development of the latest Finnish equipment.
Heiskanen also noted that production reserves made by the Defense Forces for Finnish companies could be activated for use in support of Ukraine. For this, according to him, political will and additional funding are needed.
